late February:

Lone goose flying north; Soft mist floats on the river; 'Twixt winter and spring. High clouds drift aside. Sunlight glints on the river: Promise of spring's warmth.

March:

Low clouds, ominous, Give way to cold, clear bright skies; Daffodils blooming.

April:

White-flowered branches; Rain, heavy at times, then clear. Earth bursts forth with spring. Clear skies, sunny skies; Oregon, O Oregon! Spring break was last week. Sunlight, bright; eyes squint. Winter-white skin basks in warmth; April day delights. Hail? Hail! But you said, "Clearing after morning fog." Trust the weatherman?
